WLD-900 Driver Installation and Setup

Setting up your computer for communication with the WLD is a quick and simple process which should take less than a few minutes. This installation need only take place once on a Windows pc to allow for radio setup and modification.

STEP 1 - Plug the WLD into a pc using a USB-B style cable. The WLD does not need to be powered on for this stage of installation.
 
STEP 2 -Windows should prompt that it has found new hardware. DO NOT HAVE WINDOWS FIND THE DRIVERS! Select the option to look for the drivers yourself.
 
STEP 3 - Browse to the location where you downloaded the file.

STEP 4 - Once the folder is selected(WLD USB LINK), click Done, and Windows will pull the drivers out of the file and install them.
 
You will need to complete Steps 2 through 4 twice for all drivers to successfully be installed.

STEP 5 - Open “Device Manager” in Windows and go to the COM PORT properties by double-clicking “WLD_USB_LINK”.

STEP 6 – Go to the “Port Settings” tab and set……
Bits per second to ---115,200.---
Data bits to ---8---
Parity bits to ---None---
Stop bits to ---1---
Flow Controls to ---None---

You are now ready to communicate with the WLD for radio setup.
